Hakgala Botanical Garden

      Hakgala Botanical garden is the second largest garden in Sri Lanka, it was established in 1861. It is situated on the Nuwara Eliya (16 .km from Nuwara Eliya /173.km. from Colombo.) 
The garden has a cool temperate climate. there are over 10000 species of flora planted here, it is famous for number of species of Orchids and Roses
 During the spring season in Nuwara Eliya thousands of visitors com to see the bloom here.
